A machinery reseller based in Mississippi, USA, recently partnered with us to purchase several units of 5–8 ton used excavators for the North American retail market. Their end users are mostly small businesses and independent contractors who prefer budget-friendly alternatives to expensive brand-new equipment. Consequently, high-quality used construction machines have become the most practical solution.

To improve transportation efficiency and reduce shipping costs, the customer selected compact and mid-size excavators that fit easily into containers. This approach not only lowers freight expenses but also simplifies customs clearance in the United States. Moreover, small and mid-size excavators are in strong demand in North America, making them highly profitable for equipment resellers.
The customer chose to source used machinery from China for several reasons. Over the past two decades, China has been the world’s largest construction market, attracting major OEMs—including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, SANY, and Kubota—to establish manufacturing plants locally. As domestic construction slows and infrastructure projects decrease, a vast supply of well-maintained used machines has become available for export.
Meanwhile, developing regions such as Southeast Asia, Africa, and parts of Latin America continue to experience rapid infrastructure growth. However, the high cost of brand-new equipment remains a major barrier. As a result, reliable and durable used construction machinery from China has become an attractive and cost-effective alternative for global buyers.
For this Mississippi customer, we exported the following equipment after full inspection, testing, and cleaning:
| Brand & Model | Year | Working Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Caterpillar 307.5 | 2019 | 1500 hrs |
| Komatsu PC70 | 2018 | 2500 hrs |
| Caterpillar 307E2 | 2020 | 2000 hrs |
| Komatsu PC56 | 2016 | 3000 hrs |
| SANY SY55C | 2019 | 2500 hrs |
| Kubota KX155 | 2018 | 3000 hrs |

Each machine was prepared according to North American standards to ensure strong performance, reliable operation, and excellent resale value. Through container consolidation, the customer significantly reduced logistics costs and improved overall competitiveness in the U.S. used construction machinery market.
